"Det 1, 492 SOW (formerly AFSOC/ECSF) has been utilizing the DragoonITCN Timing tester to validate and verify ALE-47 Countermeasures Dispenser System Mission Data programming on Special Operations Forces, Mobility Air Force, and other special purpose aircraft for over 15 years.
"Det 1 is also responsible for the implementing the Commando Shield Electronic Warfare Assessment Program (EWAP) for HQ AFSOC. Their mission is to ensure that mission critical EW systems are combat capable when needed. All aircraft are assessed on a scheduled basis. To meet this critical need, AFSOC has been utilizing the DragoonITCN Timing Tester in conjunction with other specialized support equipment.
"In 2017, AFSOC expressed interest in ruggedizing the timing tester and adding current measurement capability to the timing tester. DragoonITCN was put on contract to develop and demonstrate a working proof of concept. Engineers from AFSOC, AMC, and Air Combat Command collaborated with this vendor to make the effort a resounding success. DragoonITCN is currently on contract to upgrade all USAF owned timing testers to the new Countermeasures Sequential Timing and Amplitude Tester (C-STAT) configuration.
"The CSTAT upgrade has made the unit more capable and versatile. It can now be utilized as an engineering development tool as well as a precision fault isolation tool. The new Graphical User Interface (GUI) is tailorable to each specific dispenser configuration and capable of displaying real-time dispense events. It is fully capable of identifying what failed, where, why, how it occurred, and the level of degradation instead of just the Go/No Go only capability of currently fielded support equipment."
